Akeru is an upcoming 2.1 Extreme Demon collaboration hosted by Lune and set to be verified by Powerface. It is a Long-length level inspired by Kowareta, currently sitting at #27 on the Official Geometry Dash Demonlist. It was started back in 2018 when Kowareta was being verified, and was set to be harder than Bloodlust, which was at the time the Top 1 Extreme Demon.

Akeru was first heard of on August 26, 2018, when Lune uploaded a video called "Kowareta-inspired level layout (Harder than Bloodlust) -NoClip/Speedhacks-" to his channel. The name of the level was unknown until Reshi revealed on her Twitter account that it would be called "Kurayami" a few weeks later, which means "Darkness" in Japanese, similar to how Kowareta means "broken" in said language.
The level was renamed to Akeru in 2022.
