History[]
Altered Insanity is a sequel of Artificial Ascent, and a spammy-timing level and with weird and late timings. It is verified without coins to not crash Lune's laptop.
Gameplay[]
The level first starts off with a cube, jumping on a lot of blocks to go through a lot of mirror portals. Requires weird timings and spamming to stay alive.
The speed is 4x now, which is in UFO mode, requiring a whole lot of spamming since there is a lot of blocks and spikes closing in.
Then comes a 1x short wave, requiring a lot of slides. Before then, going to 4x cube, to spam through size portals.
Then it changes to a 1x mini cube, jumping through orbs and a lot of spikes, then going back to 4x wave, with a lot of zig-zags and size portal triggers. Then, it turns into a ball form, using a lot of jump pads and orbs.
Then it slows down to a 2x ship, which switches from 2x to 3x to 2x. Then, it goes to a blue 1x wave, which has tight tunnels. With a 3x speed cube, you need to spam a lot in this part. With a bunch of blue orb spam, this will be difficult. Then it slows down to a 1x ship, then it speeds back up to 4x spider and ball dual. Then, to mini wave, you slow down to mini cube. Back to 4x, you turn into a ship, then going through lots of dual portals.
It slows down to 1x mini cube, requires more spamming. Then, more 4x UFO spam, then you pass a text saying "Danger Mode", going into a 5x speed ship, going through tight saw tunnels. This is a short part.
The level ends with a 2x ship, with the creators' names appearing in a pentagon, with Altered Insanity on top of the names written in cursive.
Support level for Sonic Wave Endless speed hacking conflict[]
This level was made to support the content of Sonic Wave Endless, since people accused Ghost of speed-noclip-verifying the level. Since there were lots of orbs at the wave, people thought Ghost was no-clipping. And when it reached Impossible Mode, the 5x speed showed a 4x speed portal. The 5x speed was caused by a trigger, and the key caused this trigger. In the "Danger Zone" part, the trigger was also added.
Trivia[]
- This level has a lot of nerfing before verifying due to test issues.
- Originally a dash-orb filled level, the nerfs and details replaced the dash orbs.
- It was rated Insane Demon, then Hard Demon, then Reshi finally declared it an Extreme Demon.
- The dash orbs were replaced due to lag and kickouts from the game (only on Apple devices).
- You can go up at the Danger Zone part if you're ready to enter it.
