About[]

Lune, or XplosionGames (2017), formerly MilkshakeMasta (2018) is a very skilled Chinese-American GD player and hacker and has created many levels of his own. He is a Demon Creator, and he creates demons "to ruthlessly kill other GD players". He uses hacks to not hack levels, but to make his and his allies' levels better. He is also known as Marshie (The13th in-game).

He would beat the Top 5 (Tartarus, The Golden, Zodiac, Kenos, and Crimson Planet at the time). Then, he would beat Sonic Wave Infinity after 26,443 attempts. He also managed to beat Trueffet and get 31% on Hard Machine within 7 hours.

Outside the GD Community, Lune is a controversial White Hat that can be seen creating and playing around with his viruses.

Lune had been account-banned, leading to some of his levels being wiped due to being backed up to his Marshie account, but his progress was wiped overall. He is now active on his "Marshie" account. His The13th account has been permanently banned due to his Discord account being hijacked and sending out download links of his dangerous virus project, Charisma, to a Geometry Dash server. He is also retiring from Geometry Dash, providing a full reason on Twitter. His Discord account was also terminated.

When Lune quit Geometry Dash, part of his reasons were found on his Twitter post. Some of it says:

"So you may have heard that I was account-banned from GD. My levels, my stars, my orbs, my 8-year progress on Geometry Dash, erased. That's why you saw all of my levels transfer ownership to my alt, probably gonna be used as a main after I finish my break. I'm gonna be playing some other games."

People asked Lune what did he mean by "taking a break", which led Lune to release a second tweet.

"I'm gonna stop playing Geometry Dash temporarily. That's what I meant by taking a break. Here's my damn reasons. I might as well stop playing Geometry Dash entirely if I face another something like this.

Here's some reasons why:

  • Kids won't shut up about when 2.2 comes. I'm not RobTop. Despite my content being 13+, I do not know how the f**k kids get on my damn content. Like, my "OMG WTF I BEAT [insert level i took 69 million attempts] I FINALLY BEAT IT AEHIIRUGUASGIUS" reactions doesn't repel the kids? My problem isn't the possible >13 kids hopping onto my 13+ content, it's the "WHEN'S 2.2 LUNE" that I get so much in my emails. My email is supposed to be used for upcoming level & stuff. Not for absurd stuff like this.
  • I literally see so much controversy. It's like the GD content creators I look up to SO DAMN MUCH become a literal bad person or even a nasty pedophile. That's right, Advy. I'm talking to you. You inspiring me is why I posted more GD content, but after the pedophilia news, I'm so f*cking done.
  • Literal account security. Who the hell keeps trying to get access to my virus projects and leak them all over GD, leading to my account ban?

Thank you and leave me alone."

Unrated Levels[]

  • Green Fades- A level made with Reshi although the exact difficulty is an Insane Demon. It lost its rating due to heavy controversy.
  • Falling Rain- A sequel of Green Fades. Lost its rating as Reshi's version, but Lune's version fell down to a Medium Demon. It would soon also lose its rating.
  • no bro- A level made on April 1, 2020, in an attempt to cheer people up due to the pandemic. It has a lot of death messages like "such death", "much fun", and "so good" (found at 67% on his now-privated video).
  • she's in love with the quintuple- xo but the spikes are quintuple spikes.
  • eternal boredom - A copy of Eternal Moment, but with the words "BOREDOM" appearing all over the level.
  • PoltergeistX- A silent version of Poltergeist.
  • Surging Strikes- A timing Extreme Demon which is set to be verified by Micah468.
  • whatthehellisgoingon - Formerly Galactic, which was an Asian megacollab that was set to be verified by Mewtwo. The idea was scrapped and was changed into a 6-minute long megacollab. The song was changed into crackheads freestyle, the whole song hosted by lieu. It was verified by Lune. An implementation of an anti-cheat file is supposed to be downloaded in order to play the level (and then put in the Geometry Dash folder), known as chfreestyleac.gd, which encrypts itself to prevent "skidding". Failing to hit the right key (the player must collect 3 keys in the beginning of the level. All keys carries a randomized correct decryptor of the anticheat file (it is decrypted in the following layers, Salsa20, AES-256, and Twofish respectively)) causes the player to die in a similar way in LIMBO's final part (passing the level is determined through lieu saying "die", where the player "dies" with New Best: 100% signifies them passing the level, and any other score means the level is failed). This is Lune's most complex megacollab due to the anti-cheat implementation and others. This level also takes some features from LIMBO, minus memory parts.
  • REDBLOODED - An recent upcoming megacollab with 13 people participating (BLOODYTEAM, due to the song having 13 verses). The song is RED by Bloodhounds, NOVAGANG, GoonnCity, Midnight Society, and slowsilver03. The host is Korrone (who has glaive's verse as a part), and Lune has blackwinterwells' verse as his part. The megacollab is split up into verses as parts, and each person gets each verse as their part. Lune is working on modifying the lyrics due to excessive swearing and bad references to avoid the level being unrated. This could be the longest Extreme Demon after its rating, due to it being 6 minutes and 44 seconds after the deletion of Sapphire (6 minutes 51 seconds) due to Lune's account termination. The former verifier was 6677, but was passed onto Lune, who verified it on June 5, 2023.
  • 5cps in 5min - Another nerfed version of Dolorem Aeterna. The level has been changed from 2-player to 1-player mode, the horizontal lines in the level no longer move, the level no longer fades, the waves are made visible with a glowing orb signifying its presence, and is made possible at 60fps. The level is now also 4 minutes and 40 seconds long, in accord to the music's length. However, the player must click at least 1600 times in order to beat the level, and must spam at an EXACT RATE of 5CPS (any other rates will kill the player instantly due to a function set by marshie). A meter can be seen recording the player's CPS and their click counts at the top of the level. According to Lune, "it's beatable but you still gotta spam". The waves are also changed into normal waves, but have the "Minus Wave" effect.

Easy Demons[]

  • Twilight Explosion- A collab with TKSystem and Asymptomatic. This was made before Hell Facility.

Hard Demons[]

  • Detention v2- A sequel of Detention. Lune's first Demon ever made, with a bunch of spamming and 2.0 parts. All his creations were made himself until he made Green Fades.

Insane Demons[]

  • 911 (epic)- Lune's first Nine Circles level. It requires time-warping and sliding as the wave.
  • Firestorm's Nightmares- A team collab that shows moving objects and a bunch of 2.1 parts. Although Micah was absent during the collab, he participated in Firestorm's Nightmares II. Lune hosted the level.
  • Audio Extension- A sequel to Audio Excursion. Knocked down to an Insane Demon after the Audio Extension Strike.
  • Tourmaline- A prequel of Peridot.
  • Dancing in the 90s- This is a Dance Dance Revolution themed level where you have to beat a lot of parts. There are 10 parts in total.

Extreme Demons[]

  • airy freestyle - A tricky Extreme Demon with tight "corridors" and heavy spamming. The song is green lipstick by i9bonsai. It is known as Lune's most recent level after not releasing one after his terminations.
  • Lunestep- A dedication and inspiration of Xarostep. Contains fast dual switches and erupting objects.
  • Futuristic Cosmology- A sequel of Ocular Miracle, and can sometimes leave your device frozen due to too much detail and impossible obstacles.
  • Photon Geyser- A very, very, very hard level that several players attempted to verify. No matter how much it is nerfed, it is still impossible. Although the music is not on Newgrounds, he used YouTube and credited the artist. A sequel to Galaxy Collapse. Verified on stream at 1 AM.
  • Cryogenic Nightmare- An extremely hard bossfight level. It has an ice background and Xender Game-style.
  • Hard Error - An Extreme Demon hosted by Lune. The song is NSFW by Koraii, also known as TOMBOYY, and is a sequel to Exception. It was verified by Softball, who said that the gameplay was not Top 1, because Lune had nerfed it to Top 20. This level is known for its constant gamemode switches, high speed, and high amounts of clicks.
  • 30SS - A possible remake of 30 seconds of silence. It is set to be a Top 1 Demon and was rated on July 23, 2022. A new song has since been found and replaced the original song, a slowed-down, low-pitch version of Trancer by Gunnar Olsen.
  • nightlights - A fast-paced Extreme Demon with the song 2harts1soul by i9bonsai. This is Lune's most recent level, and it features "part freezes", which requires a lot of spamming. The level has been generally deemed a "nightcore" level due to the vocals in the song, as well as the level's theme and decorations.
  • fragments - A level inspired by SHATTER by efext. Uses the song slip awy by i9bonsai.
  • gravityflux - The sequel to nightlights. It uses the song iMSG by Ways, released under collective NOVAGANG.
  • speedstar circles - A random Nine Circles level that marshie made, with the Speedstar OST from the game Yakuza 4. marshie posted a preview of this level on X, saying that he was "fucking around".
  • i'm waiting - Lune's final level before quitting the game. It has fast-paced gameplay and uses the song vivid by i9bonsai, featuring miraie.
  • headinatwirl - An unfinished project that Lune would come back to finish. It uses the song 사랑 by mitsu, being 32 seconds long and is a memory-based level, being Top 5.

Canceled/Deleted Levels[]

  • My part of Ultrapolis- Deleted since he chose to be a verifier. It is a normal difficulty.
  • Power Plant- Deleted due to copyrighted music. Music: DJ Blyat- Boris. The difficulty is Extreme Demon.
  • Sapphire- The final level of the Y&V series with the song Lune by Y&V. It could be the new longest Extreme Demon, as the level is 6 minutes and 51 seconds long.
  • Sonic Wave Endless (old version)- Because of hacks, Lune decided to start it over without Thunderfang touching it, and giving the level to Flush.
  • YOU ARE THE BEST- Just a 30 second epileptic level with the song You Are An Idiot! (Super Remix). It relates to the virus "You are an idiot!". It would be deleted from the servers due to flashing effects. It was put as the daily level one time during the last April Fools.
  • c-is-i - A controversal level that has a Chinese swear word in title. The name is in Pinyin and is controversial due to the title translating to "eat s*it" in Chinese.
  • skids - A cancelled collaboration that was dead upon creation. It was set to be an extended and possible remake of VSC, but was cancelled, and was later revived and hosted again by Narwhal.
  • Dolorem Aeterna - A humanly possible version of Dolorem Aeterna, where the obstacles are faintly visible and the player's icon being marked with an orb. The darkening was also removed. The length of the level was reduced to the song's original length, 4 minutes and 42 seconds instead of 8 hours. This level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.
  • 30 seconds of silence - An impossible 1.9 level with a frame-perfect and "horrible" spamming. As the level's name suggests, the level is 30 seconds long. Originally, Lune wanted to "jump on the bandwagon" for impossible 1.9 levels then verify a possible version in the future. This level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.
  • Can Let Go- Lune's first level released. It features 1.1 parts and was close to being a demon. This level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.
  • Kilometre- The sequel to Marathon. It has the song "Heartbeat" and is a memory-based level. It was also deleted because of 3's reason. Thankfully, it was also restored. Currently, this level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.
  • Vision of Bonfire- The prequel of Cryogenic Nightmare. 4 out of 5 of the Xtrullor levels have been erased because of his crash. They have since been restored. Currently, this level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.

  • Altered Insanity- The sequel to Artificial Ascent. Before it was verified, the level was left untested, unverified, and not detailed. The level was then verified after 2 months of the level was left abandoned. Deleted due to his PC crashing, was restored by SandyNagisa. Currently, this level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.
  • A- An extremely difficult level that is around nerfed Woodkid-difficulty. Deleted due to his PC crashing, was restored. Currently, this level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.
  • Hallucination- A horror glitchy sequel to SAVE AS by PAHC. Restored by SandyNagisa after Lune's PC crashed, deleting the level from the servers.
  • TeamXerneas- A bossfight level made for TeamX. The level was heavily buffed and the max object limit was extended with hacks. Deleted due to his PC crashing, restored by SandyNagisa. Currently, this level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.

  • Theory- A level that was formerly a low-end Extreme Demon with a famous quote made by a returning legacy player named Jax. The description says "Practice. You need to practice again and again". It uses the full song of Theory of Everything 2 and was verified by Stride. This level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.
  • freefall never clear- A challenge level that is superbuffed and set to be on the Top 10 of the Challenge List. This level was deleted due to Lune's main account, The13th, being deleted.

  • Reverb - A cancelled level that was set to be harder than Nhelv, which is currently the hardest verified memory level. It was cancelled due to lack of motivation in continuing the level.

Upcoming levels[]

  • Reborn Corruption- An upcoming team-sequel Nine Circles level that is set to be harder than Sonic Wave Endless and will be verified by Cosmical.
  • Narcissism- The sequel to the Extreme Demon Nine Circles level Narcissist. It uses the second drop of the song NK vs TI.Amity. It is an Extreme Demon.
  • DEADMEME CYPHER - Another megacollab made by BLOODYTEAM, having 16 people in it. This megacollab will be worked on after REDBLOODED. The level is much more longer than REDBLOODED, being 7 minutes and 18 seconds long. It has an Among Us theme with glitchy themes as well. Controversies[]

  • Sonic Wave Conflict I and II- This is when Thunderfang was spotted hacking Sonic Wave Endless by Lune. Team GH0 disbanded but reformed after Thunderfang confessed. Later on, Thunderfang was kicked out but he rejoined and was given another chance by Lune.
  • Lune's Bootkit - Several controversies led to Lune after a bootkit was found in a subscriber's computer. Its payloads were infamous - it caused denial-of-service attacks by shutting off the computer on boot, but it can be overridden by booting into safe mode. The bootkit was named CluBstepPER, and then 3 other computers had been attacked by CluBstepPER. This was caused by a leak in Lune's malware projects. After the controversy, Flush recommended to Lune that he should keep his projects private as there were too many computers infected by his malware.
    • A new attack that happened in August, on Lune's birthday, occurred. This bootkit hid itself in the firmware and hijacked the MBR, caused system instability, and caused BSoDs. This one is a different "strand" of CluBstepPER, named max and created by Lune. It replaced the bootloader with a malicious one and sometimes replaced the MBR with its own text "Rootkit.Win32.max" before restoring it. It also makes the computer part of a botnet, causes DoS attacks, and is overall a very dangerous bootkit. Many users reported having c000021a BSoD errors due to the leaking of the bootkit.
    • A recent attack that happened to take down and hack a subreddit on Christmas Eve was traced to max's botnet functionality, codenamed "yuru", being a variant of the infamous Mirai botnet. The botnet created several Reddit accounts to take down a small (never large) subreddit and create a post saying "DESTROYED BY YURU LOL", spamming the same title over and over again after the destruction. The bots' accounts have been suspended as of now, but the subreddit is not recoverable.
  • Roblox Hacking Compromise - A hacking attack led by 10 people from TeamX on Roblox led Roblox to have a major outage. The Roblox Client was replaced with a version with an MBR-overwriting Trojan (known as Shadowgate Trojan to Lune). People reported being struck with the Blue Screen error code 0xc0000218 (Registry File Failure) after trying to end the process or uninstall the virus due to Roblox never opening Registry Editor and Command Prompt. Lune explained that the virus "held the Registry file hostage", and erased the registry and incorrectly unmounted the hive upon uninstalling, ending the virus process, or rebooting, resulting in the Blue Screen. They were then met with a screen saying, "As you reboot, you find that something has overwritten your MBR! It is a sad thing your adventures have ended here. Greetings from TeamX members who can code (the people that devious licked your system): Lune, Micah468, Flush, IceCreamonAstick, Beepbeeppumpkin, Mewtwo, Recoil35, PizzaFueled0_0, Swarmy, Cloudbounce7788 (yeah haha yeah wee)". The virus also occurred when the same 10 people as replaced the Synapse exploit file with the virus, and this time, the screen includes the message "HAHA IMAGINE BEING SO BAD YOU DECIDED TO DOWNLOAD EXPLOIT?! NEXT TIME PLAY NORMALLY LMFAO". Many controversies stirred up, but then IceCreamonAstick apologized, and they didn't do this intentionally; they wanted to show security flaws, similar to the cause of the 2016 FossHub and Audacity attack (they also had the same Shadowgate quote screen). The hacking incident caused 2 accounts participating in the hacking attack being permanently IP banned.
  • Lune vs Torrented- Torrented falsely strikes Lune on accusing him for using GDbot although the accusations were true. However, Lune was able to keep Torrented from making any more videos or posts on his social media by downloading the MEMZ trojan (Lune didn't run it), sending it to Torrented by renaming the file to "sorrynote". Torrented then opened it and attempted to taskkill it, but it wasn't successful because whoever kills MEMZ will immediately have their computer unusable.
  • Lune vs Mujigae Haters - Shortly after he beat Mujigae, he would get attacked by Mujigae haters, going as far as trying to gain unauthorized access to his computer. This is due to him liking the gameplay of Mujigae, as many people hate the level's gameplay. However, many Mujigae enjoyers had Lune's back and saved Lune from getting his system compromised. A user named popcornhater320 stated that Lune has his own opinion and he was about to lose his cool due to the amount of attacks he had been getting.
  • GitHub Requiem - Requiem, a trojan made by Lune and Mewtwo infamous for its epileptic payloads, destroying all objects crucial to booting up Windows, and was inspired by Lithifusion's KillBot ransomware, had infected a GitHub user's computer due to the account being compromised. This also lead to the hacked user to send out copies of Requiem_FATAL, the more destructive version of Requiem. There, it led several controversies to Lune after 2 hours after the copies being distributed. This caused Lune to program a command only used when Requiem_FATAL or Requiem_CRASH was running (/remreq on Windows XP and 7, /reqrem on Windows 10, as /remreq would delete the operating system) to repair the partition table and remove the virus from files, the hard drive, and boot objects, but not delete the virus. Lune said, "The removal command would automatically reboot the computer if you have Requiem running, and into a screen that reverts all damage by Requiem, like you just downloaded Requiem but didn't run it yet, but the boot items destroyed by Requiem wouldn't be repaired. Just do a little bootrec /fixmbr, bootrec /fixboot, bootrec /rebuildbcd, chkdsk /f /r, and Startup Repair should do the trick to get you back into Windows. Then run an antivirus scan, and let it remove Requiem." This fix then let people running Requiem get their compromised accounts back, and the controversy ended.
    • Charisma Incident - The wiper variant of Requiem, named Charisma, sparked some controversy. Lune then announced that since Charisma is more destructive than the vanilla Requiem_FATAL, the repair will work differently, but the Requiem repairing command still works on Charisma. However, due to Charisma's payload to wipe the entire drive, an OS reinstall would have to be done after reqrem/remreq.
  • Audio Extension Striking Conflict- Because Lune is unable to premiere the "2 million subscribers stream" on YouTube due to problems, he streamed it on Twitch. After the stream, every person copied Audio Extension using hacks without his permission. Because of this, Lune ordered every team he collaborated with to strike the verification footages down, as Lune's description said don't copy levels without his permission. This caused a huge Discord conflict, and Lune had to shut the server down and create a new one. The conflict finally stopped when all of Lune's supporters helped him maximize his levels' security. But the aftermath of the argument harshly dropped Audio Extension down to an Insane Demon.
  • Channel Termination- While streaming Thinking Space on Twitch, Lune's YouTube channel was terminated for copyright. The YouTube video that made his account terminated was named "Sparkling Aria: Preview 1". Although he used the non-copyrighted version of Sparkling Aria's song, he was falsely terminated and his appeals were denied. He posted on Twitter saying:

"@TeamYouTube My channel was falsely terminated for copyright although I used the non-copyrighted version of the song. I really need the money for college and everything."

His channel has now been restored after countless "#SAVEMARSHIE" replies.

  • Attacked on Twitch Stream - On his Twitch stream "school's out let's play", he would get attacked by 5 people while playing PAYDAY 2. While playing the heist Big Bank with fans, his chat would be swarmed with inappropriate messages by attackers and his screen would flash Goku Drip every 3 minutes. When going on his Twitch Website, porn websites would be seen on his tabs. This was not seen at the start of the stream, as the attack started on 30:41 and lasted 5 minutes. His camera would also be seen constantly hanging. However, his stream would be turned off. 2 minutes later, his stream would be turned back on, the chat messages gone and the attack died down. The stream would be deleted and a YouTube video explaining everything would be released. Soon on June 28, a new stream named "srry about that let's play again" was released. He hasn't been attacked ever since.
  • Virus.DOS.AssRevamp - AssRevamp, another virus project created to revamp and improve the memory-resident DOS virus Ass, had attacked one too many computers that run MS-DOS boot disks. A person's computer could be infected by AssRevamp from exploits and vulnerabilities in the MS-DOS system. This rendered many NT systems that can run MS-DOS boot disks unusable as AssRevamp resides in the memory and infects the BIOS.
  • Lune and Mewtwo vs Snooball - Months after Mewtwo quit Geometry Dash, he would tell Lune about the real reason of why he quit Geometry Dash. Snooball, a skilled player, had been harassing Mewtwo in his private messages, and Mewtwo would send screenshots to CETeam. Snooball would also harass Mewtwo in his Discord messages as well, due to collaborating with a "pedophile". However, the controversies about the "pedophile" were already debunked long ago. Although Snooball was confronted, this would result in Mewtwo shutting himself out and leaving YouTube for 5 days.
  • Attempted Steam Hack - Lune and his group of White Hats named FlyawayHats would attempt to compromise Steam. While successfully deploying the hack, they failed to put MBR-overwriting code in the game downloads.

Trivia[]

  • People thought Lune quit GD, but he was inactive for a month.
  • His most viewed video on his channel is named "security my ass (NOT A LAYOUT)". It shows his part on a YouTube Pooper Megacollab hosted by TheJiro named "SECURITY WAS NOT MY MOTTO", found on the timestamps from 6:20 to 7:01. The megacollab is about a rogue software named Protegent.
  • When asked why 30SS was rated yet, Lune says he couldn't find a music replacement for the level.
  • Lune would name levels that he is verifying "gay" or "i got fired aaa". After he verifies the level, he would rename the level to its original name.
    • When he was verifying a buffdate for The Hell Phoenix, he named it "the hell shet".
  • Although he has facecam, he wears a paper mask with a "thinking face emoji" and he cut eyeholes on it so he could see.
    • Rarely, he'd have a paper bag over his head with eyeholes cut into it.
  • He has two other channels: LuneGames (second gaming account) and LuneARTS (speedpaint channel).
    • His Geometry Dash channel is called The13th, and an inactive channel of his called The14th.
  • Lune only shows his mouse while playing a level. However, he shows his masked face on now.
  • He is a coder, as he made a virus named Cutie that was sent to Flush by PDF to test it out on a Virtual Machine.
  • He is a Virgo.
  • He once played Asphalt 9 on MasteredMike's stream and called it A**fart 9 due to how bad the game is.
  • He isn't as active as much and would be seen playing Pokemon Sword and Shield or Apex Legends on his gaming account that are other than Geometry Dash.
  • Besides KrmaL, he has the most rated Extreme Demon levels, having 24 Extreme Demons (both Lune and Marshie).
    • However, on his main account, he has 7 Extreme Demons rated.
  • His favourite Nine Circles level is Mujigae, and his least favourite Nine Circles level is Tenth Circle.
    • He gave Mujigae an enjoyment rating of 97%, and Tenth Circle a rating of 19%.

Levels verified[]

  • Ultrapolis- Previously a collaborator. After seeing multiple bugs in the level, he took action and verified the level.
  • Vintage Mode- An upcoming level he was going to verify.
  • Galaxy Reverse- An impossible level made by TeamX. It has lots of form-changing duals and it took Lune lots and lots of attempts to beat.

  • Refined- A low-effort and hated level Lune has verified. Created by his main enemy, Team Godmode.
  • The Hell Staff- Previously named Silent Tartarus. It has taken him 64,763 attempts.
  • Green Fades- An unrated Insane Demon-like level that is very hard.
